Shiv is a wonderful Poet and creative with a tenacious drive and zeal to make impactful strides in the World through her poetry and this is very evident in her poetic expressions and her poems
Today, we look a little into the world of Shiv with excerpts below chronicling her story.


'Siobhán “Shiv” Hickey is a Dublin-based poet, actor, sometime comedian and Artistic Director of After Midnight Theatre.
She has published two collections of poetry ‘After Midnight’ (2020) and ‘Scribbles from an Anxious Mind’ (2022) – some of which she has performed in venues around Dublin and made her Electric Picnic debut in 2022, performing again at the festival in 2023.
In January, Shiv performed at L'Hirondelle as the featured guest poet at Spoken Word Paris, and in December performed her spoken word show TABOO as part of the EROSS Dublin City University SEX PAN!CS conference.

Shiv counts among her influences Leonard Cohen, Audre Lorde, Jim Morrison, and Emily Dickinson, as well as by various Irish spoken word and musical artists.
With her work coming from real life experiences, her poetry has been described as "vulnerable" and "a gut-punch" but is always partnered with a pinch of comedy.


Shiv's poetry is World Class and her collection ' Scribbles from an anxious mind' is an exceptional body of work and she has been recommended by Amazon Bestselling Poet, Joseph Spencer as in his words ' Shiv is a hugely talented poet and her style of poetry is pure and genuine'.  Spencer will also be featuring her on his prestigious Collab Tour that will expose her to a wider audience as she is just that talented and deserves the spotlight.
