INTRODUCING POWER HOUSE POET, COURTNEY!

Courtney is an Incredibly gifted poet with a tenacious drive and zeal to make impactful strides in the World through her craft and this is very evident in her strides in the world of Literature, especially in the genres of Poetry, where she has been able to make significant strides and has a very devoted fanbase worldwide.

Today, we take a little dive into the world of Courtney with excerpts below chronicling her story.

Courtney Whittamore is a person. She has done a lot of really fancy and interesting things in her life. One time, she convinced her younger siblings she was a vampire for a full week. Her brother lived in terror until her sister pointed out Courtney had a reflection. Thus, the ruse was shattered, but the magic was not. And so, she continues to sprinkle the world with wonder, light, laughter, and truth, wherever she goes. 

She could tell you how she gets her theatrical flare for storytelling from her hilarious mother. And that she took that pizzazz and turned it into a career as a professional Broadway performer after attending the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music for Musical Theatre. She could tell you about how success came and health went, leaving her with the task of changing dreams in her twenties. She could tell you that writing was her solace. She could tell you that the art of what she calls "word letting" saved her life.

 But she would rather tell you again that she is a person. A person who writes. Mostly about humanity. And how humans are actually human, not societal machines made to live one way and one way only. She writes about what she has done. What has been done to her. About men who asked her to keep the door of possibility open when she shouldn't have. About bodies that don't want to exist under the conditions they are asked to operate under. About how being an adult is necessary but also a trap. And she writes about everything that never happened. Or did it?
