Introducing Jasmine Tate! 

Jasmine  is an exceptionally talented and gifted poet, with remarkable passion and determination to make impactful strides in the world through her craft and this is very obvious in her zeal and her consistency in the world of Literature, specifically poetry speaks for itself. Her relatable and soulful style of writing is exactly why Jasmine is now here on the most prestigious Poetry platform in the world. 

Today, we take a  foray into the world of Jasmine with excerpts below detailing her incredible story. 

"My name is Jasmine Tate, and I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. Growing up, I was labeled 'weird' and 'shy' because I didn't talk much in school. I struggled with severe anxiety to the point of being selectively mute. Despite this, I persevered through high school, eventually becoming valedictorian and delivering a speech at graduation. Can you imagine? I was a dedicated student and later graduated Summa cum laude from college. 

I wrote my first poem in middle school for a homework assignment. I remember dreading it, thinking it would be difficult, but to my surprise, I haven't stopped writing poetry since. It gives me momentum to mold thoughts and ideas in my head into art. I'm often shocked by what's left on the page. 

I write poetry to gain clarity and find meaning. There's something magical about threading words together and seeing the visions play out in my head until they effortlessly flow onto the page. This magic is especially comforting in these trying times.

Writing has become my native language. I've never been able to express myself more fluently than I have through the written word. Alone, talking feels insufficient, leaving gaps where poetry fills. As a quiet individual, writing has healed ancient wounds of not being understood and feeling invisible. It has given, and still gives, that part of me a voice.

I share my poems in hopes of helping someone like me or someone entirely different who seeks to understand the world through a different lens. 

I aspire to encourage people to look at things more deeply, to notice what we often gloss over, and to inspire hope where it seems absent. I want the powerless to reclaim their power and the vulnerable and hopeless to find strength and encouragement. I want everyone to see the good that life has to offer. With every word I share, I hope to awaken that sense of wonder and possibility."

 Jasmine's ability as a Poet and all round creative of repute is World Class  as she was personally recommended by International Bestseller and respected Poet, Joseph Spencer, as in his exact words "Jasmine is such a creative breath of fresh air.
