Interview with Jacqueline

Jacqueline Kimberly is an accomplished poet and author.  Her debut collection, "Confessions Over Tequila" broke all sorts of records; topping the charts on Amazon bestseller lists with reckless abandon.  "Fractured Euphoria", her follow up second book has some how been able to usurp the achievements of "Confessions Over Tequila", as it sat as Number 1 on the Overall Poetry Charts for all continents on Amazon.  An incredible feat.  Jacqueline is also now a two time, consecutive bestselling poet and the 20th consecutive bestseller of her global writers group, "The Collab Tour" where she ranks as a prominent member.
Below are excerpts:

1. "Fractured Euphoria" charted at Number 1 on the Global Poetry Bestsellers list on Amazon, alongside reaching Number 1 in the Motivational & Inspirational and Canadian categories. How are you feeling?

I'm incredibly grateful. I don't think it's fully sunk in yet. When I wrote Fractured Euphoria, I wasn't thinking about rankings. I was trying to make sense of my own thoughts and experiences. The fact that something so personal has connected with readers around the world means more to me than I can put into words. It reminds me that being vulnerable isn't something to be ashamed of. Sometimes it's exactly what someone else needs to hear.

2. "Fractured Euphoria" is your second consecutive bestselling book after the hugely successful Confessions Over Tequila. Was there any pressure on your part to replicate that success?

Definitely. I think every artist worries that their previous success might have been a one-time thing. There were moments where I questioned myself and wondered if people would connect with this book the same way. Eventually I realized I couldn't write while thinking about rankings or expectations. I had to focus on writing the most honest book I could. Ironically, I think letting go of that pressure helped make Fractured Euphoria what it became.

3. You are a two-time bestselling author and the 20th consecutive Amazon bestselling poet from the Collab Tour. How do you feel about being a member of such a prestigious writers group with a track record of success?

It's an honour. The Collab Tour has introduced me to an incredible community of writers who genuinely want to see one another succeed. That's rare. Being the twentieth consecutive Amazon bestselling poet from the group is something I'm proud of, but it's also motivating because it reminds me to keep growing and improving as a writer.

4. What was the writing process for Fractured Euphoria?

It wasn't a book I forced myself to write. It happened naturally over time. Some poems came together in ten minutes, while others took weeks or even months because I wasn't emotionally ready to finish them. I wrote during good days, bad days, moments of grief, anxiety, hope, and even humour. I wanted the book to reflect what healing actually looks like. It's messy, complicated, and sometimes unexpectedly funny.
5. Did you expect Fractured Euphoria to be so successful?

No. I hoped people would enjoy it, but I honestly had no idea how it would be received. Poetry can be unpredictable. I knew it was my favourite book I'd written, but you never know if readers will feel the same way. Seeing the response has been incredibly encouraging, and I'm grateful that so many people connected with it.

6. What has the reception been so far since Fractured Euphoria dropped?

The response has been amazing. I've had readers tell me they felt understood, that certain poems described emotions they couldn't explain themselves, and that the book made them feel less alone. Those messages stay with me. Rankings are exciting, but knowing that something I wrote helped another person is what means the most to me.

7. If you had to choose between your two Number 1 bestselling books, which would be your favourite?

I'd have to say Fractured Euphoria. I'll always be grateful for Confessions Over Tequila because it changed my life and introduced me to so many readers. But Fractured Euphoria feels like the most honest version of me. It's more vulnerable, more personal, and it reflects how much I've grown as both a writer and a person.

8. What inspired the title Fractured Euphoria?

I've always been fascinated by contradictions. Life isn't just happiness or sadness. Sometimes you're healing while still hurting. Sometimes you're grateful while struggling. Sometimes the happiest moments exist alongside the hardest ones. Fractured Euphoria captures that contradiction. It reminds us that brokenness and beauty can exist at the same time.
9. It's been a journey so far. What would be your advice to upcoming poets who see you as a role model and also want to publish their own books and be as successful as you?

Write the book you would want to read. Don't spend all your energy trying to sound like someone else or chasing what's popular. Readers connect with honesty more than perfection. Keep learning, keep improving, and don't let rejection convince you to stop. Success rarely happens overnight, and even when it does, there's usually years of work behind it that nobody sees. Most importantly, remember why you started writing in the first place.

10. Parting words to your supporters and fans worldwide.

Thank you. Whether you've bought one of my books, shared one of my poems, left a review, or simply taken a few minutes to read my work online, you've helped make this possible. I'll never take that support for granted. My hope is that my writing continues to make people feel seen, understood, and maybe even laugh when they need it most. Thank you for believing in me. I promise I'm just getting started.
